Sandown is famous for it's golden sandy beach. The town is situated in a beautiful curved bay and is a great place for all the family, couples or just on your own. The sea is safe and has a Blue Flag award for it's cleanliness. There are several car parks within easy reach of the beach and parking right along the Esplanade.

It is home to the only Pier on the Isle of Wight and features the usual amusement arcades and pier attractions but also has Neon Bowling and Jurassic golf, as their motto says " a day of fun in one". Well worth a visit.

Also home to Isle of Wight Zoo home of the tiger sanctuary and Lemurland.
