ISLE OF WIGHT HOME:

The Isle of Wight is situated just a few miles off mainland UK and has something for everyone. There are plenty of attractions, theme parks and long sandy beaches for the children.

Wight-online is here to help you plan your holiday on the Isle of Wight. You will find information here that is useful from the moment you decide to visit the Island. We have made it simple to move around the site, just click on the white words to move to that section..

There are several ways of travelling to the Isle of Wight, with two ferry companies, Red Funnel and Wightlink and a hovercraft with Hovertravel, the fun all starts with a sea journey. You can bring a car, the roads are clearly marked, or travel on foot, there is a train service running from Ryde Pier Head, which meets the fast cat from Portsmouth, to Ryde Esplanade, Brading, Sandown and Shanklin. The Isle of Wight Steam Railway connects at Smallbrook Junction where you can travel to Havenstreet and Wootton.

There is a good bus service operated by Southern Vectis. You can take in the views from the top deck of a bus. Rover tickets are available from Travel offices or on the bus.

This site is still under construction and will be updated on a regular basis, please visit often. We intend to include Isle of Wight tourism information on, Isle of Wight hotels, B&B, self catering, camping and touring, holiday parks, holiday centres, holiday cottages and guesthouse. Businesses, gift shop, pubs / pubic houses and bars and where entertainment can be found.
